Toward the end of the day we did a fast tour of several working craft or trades displays at Greenfield Village. These were all working operations from printing (early printing press) to pottery to glass blowing and a number of other things we really didn't have time to see like a working sawmill. Glass blowing is something I always thought was some combination of art and industry, which is probably accurate but I don't know that I've ever seen it done in person. The shot below is some work done by the glass works at the Village using one of about a half dozen different furnaces. It's actually quite a large shop setup for folks to watch and learn.
