On the eastern side of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park is a climbing gym called Kendall Cliffs. We've known about it for a while but have only recently been actively visiting and climbing, mostly spurred on by my ten year old. It's a great place to spend a winter afternoon or evening. The people running the place are fantastic - cool, helpful, and nice with our kids. There are a number of really good climbers there most days but lots of families and beginners too.
Anyway, most of this I can't climb, I stick to the simpler stuff. I'm not that good. The kids are all over the place though, with the exception of the overhang and some of the routes that don't already have lead ropes. The floor is covered with shredded rubber to cushion falls but I found it also makes for a decent impromptu tripod - I mounded it up a bit to hold the camera still for three bracketed exposures. This low angle makes the walls looks really high. For me, while hanging near the top, they are.
