Long time between posts.  Sad.  :-)  Spring has sprung in northern Ohio and we are well on the way to summer.  I was in my favorite photo spot not long ago thinking I'd take pictures of some morning skies and found nothing but a pretty blue morning sky.  Pretty, but empty. Not real interesting for a photograph so I went to plans B and C and started hiking through the woods looking for something like sun rays through the early morning mist.  That didn't work out so well since it had been quite cold but dry - there needs to be some moisture in the air to get those sun rays through the trees.

But I did find these relatively new and young leaves looking pretty with the sun shining through the trees and lighting them up from above.  Ironically I shot this holding the camera and tripod well off the ground using a very wide angle lens.  An unconventional technique but it worked.  I think this shot was plan E or F by the time I got around to it.
