Ritchie Ledges, Cuyahoga Valley National Park

There's a forest elf in this photo.  Can you find him?  I happen to know he's nine years old and wearing an Under Armor sweatshirt (Under Armor is a popular clothing brand in the States in case you were wondering).  I asked this little elf to get behind a tree but he refused.  I think, not totally sure, that this is the first time I've included a recognizable person in a post on this blog.

We were on the Ledges trail in the nearby national park hiking and climbing what I've recently learned are called the Ritchie Ledges.  I found a terrific post describing this trail on a site called Natural Born Hikers.  You can get some nice background and see other photos on their website.  Actual rock climbing is (and should definitely be) prohibited but hiking with two boys ages 11 and 9 sometimes scrambling over a few of the larger rocks is unavoidable.  I just hope to keep up with them.  The trail and the rocks blend together in a number of places.  It's definitely the sort of hike where you need to keep your eyes on the trail, roots and rocks to trip you up abound.
