Google around some of you'll find a number of images of the Sevres Vase on display in the Palace Theater in downtown Cleveland at Playhouse Square. Here's my version, shot from below as it stands right between the stairs to doors 7 and 8. I learned the vase weighs over 300 pounds and is made of cobalt porcelain and brass. The vase was made in Sevres, France. Hence the name.
It's impressive to see in person, particularly the contrast of the strong, deep blue against the red, yellows and tans of the surrounding decor. The stairs lead the house itself. In fact, what appears to be ceiling on the upper left and right is the ceiling of the inside of the theater itself.
