Park Path To The Sun

The Cuyahoga Valley National Park is full of great places to shoot pictures.  I know many of them and there have to be alot more I haven't discovered yet.  It's not a large National Park compared to other more commonly known parks but it's big enough for me and right nearby.  I live just a couple of miles from one of the entrances.

In the southern portion of the park is a spot called Kendall Hills.  I shared photographs from this location before.  Earlier this summer I happened to be out shooting on a foggy morning and found what I think was a race course cut through the grass and weeds on the hills.  If I recall correctly, it was one of those long endurance races.  I was there so early no one else was up and moving but they had the route marked off for what I assume were runners coming later in the day.

The path they cut through the grass and across the hills just happened to line up nicely with the rising sun.  My biggest challenge was framing and deciding how to use the path, the sun and the dew-covered plants all together.  In the end, I most liked the course route across the hills into the distance ending in the sun.
