I vividly remember balancing on the bow of the boat trying to keep the plans centered in the viewfinder without falling over or out of the boat (I was standing on the seats). This was the first time I'd seen the airshow from this vantage point. It was simply amazing watching these guys fly they way they do. I think the Thunderbirds are in town this year.

Blue Angels Take Cleveland
This photo is a year old from the Cleveland Air Show in 2011 featuring the Blue Angels. If you know the Cleveland skyline you can tell they are flying right alongside the buildings of downtown Cleveland. The large building in the middle is the Key Bank building. The smaller one with the green roof is a federal government building, maybe a Federal Reserve building. We were on the lake just east of downtown shooting back toward the downtown area. Burke Lakefront Airport is the center of the airshow and is between the camera and the buildings.
