I posted a photo of the Marblehead Lighthouse on the southern shore of Lake Erie a week or two ago. Here's another view from an entirely different angle. One of the organizations responsible for maintaining the lighthouse, it's history and heritage raised funds by selling bricks or pavers and used them to create this very pretty mariner's compass just south of the lighthouse itself. Guess how I know I was standing south of the lighthouse?
The fund raiser is over but you can learn more about the park at the Marblehead Lighthouse Historical Society web site here.
