Shooting waterfalls is like potato chips, I can't help myself and once I get started it's hard to stop. There's something about waterfalls that I'm drawn to. I think most people are that way at least a little bit. If nothing else waterfalls are cool to just stand there and watch for a while.
Today's photo isn't a waterfall as much as a long set of rocks with some fast moving water but it still qualifies. This was shot in the Smoky Mountains earlier this spring relatively early in the morning from a bridge that spans the creek as it flows away downhill. No tripod, hand-held single exposure.
