The old saying or sentiment about weather and photography is true - bad or changing weather is often good for photography. I shot this yesterday afternoon as a series or small storm cells moved through the area. This is Hudson Springs Park again, east of the town where I live. I rarely get to shoot west into the sun since so many things happen in the afternoon or early evenings and we need to be someplace but last night was an exception and I was happy for it.
I only had a few minutes before I had to be somewhere but I was able to get a few different perspectives including some with a natural occurring iris (I think) in the foreground. We'll see how that one turns out. I found that happy little flower growing right on the bank of the lake all by himself. I also found some local critters. A couple of foot long water snake swam within inches of the tripod (and mine) legs in the water. He paused for a portrait but I had already fought my tripod lets through the brush and into the rocks on the shoreline so I wasn't willing to take things apart to get a picture.
