Eastern State Penitentiary

Interesting photographs of a prison?  You bet.  This image and others like it in the same set are actually very popular.  People seems to like the light and colors and they display very nicely alongside the colors most of us have in our homes.  Browns, blacks and some of the grays in the photo below look great printed large, framed and put on the wall.

This is the hallway from a place called Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia.  I didn't know it existed until we got to Philly and were looking for one last thing to do before driving home.  You can tour the grounds including looking in many of the rooms and corridors.  Some of it is in ruins and is blocked off but much of it is accessible and open to walking tours.  They are very photographer friendly - tripods, etc.
